BREAKFAST RICE CEREAL WITH FRUITS AND RAISINS vage icon


A hearty breakfast meal, with long grain rice, crunchy cereal and assorted fruits and raisins.


INGREDIENTS

  • Mishtann Basmati Rice - 200 gm or 1 cup (as per US RATIO). (rinsed twice and soaked for 20 mins and boiled).
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Green apples - 1 - diced small
  • Fresh Pineapple slices -2 no c
  • Banana - 1 small diced
  • Raisins - 1/3 cup
  • Maple syrup - 1/4 cup or as per requirement
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp.
  • Nutmeg powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • Strawberry cornflakes or cornflakes of your choice - 1 cup.
  • Salt - to taste

PROCEDURE

Heat milk and water in a cooking vessel.

Add the diced fruits, raisins and simmer for 2-3 mins, Now add the maple syrup, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder. Add the boiled Basmati Rice and salt to taste.

Keep stirring till the mixture begins to thicken on slow heat.

In a bowl, take a spoonful of this mixture, Add the strawberry cornflakes, some more fruit, raisins or maple syrup, as per your requirement.

Serve hot.

Garnish with Almonds, or Cashews.
